Morning Movers: Dow Futures Slump; Tesla Tumbles as D-Day Disappoints

How do you follow up the worst trading day of the year? With more selling, of course.

S&P 500 futures have dropped 0.5%, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures have fallen 0.5%.Nasdaq Compositefutures have tumbled 1%.

Tesla Motors (TSLA) has fallen 5.5% to $243 after the automaker unveiled an all-wheel drive version of its Model S with an automated driving system. And after all D-Day hype, Tesla’s announcement appears to have disappointed.

Manitowoc (MTW) has plunged 13% to $18.80 after the crane manufacturer said its third-quarter sales would be lower than last year.

Isis Pharmaceuticals (ISIS) has jumped 4.6% to $38.95 after the company expressed optimism about the results of its spinal muscular atrophy drug an a trial.

Plug Power (PLUG) has risen 1.6% to $4.48 after the company said it had shipped more than 850 fuel cells in the third quarter.

JC Penney (JCP) has fallen 1.3% to $7.54 after the beaten-down retailer was cut to Sell from Hold at Maxim Group.
